My name is Troy Fruia, and I have always had a passion for design. I started college in 1983 to study Advertising Layout and Design as a Journalism major with a minor in Creative Writing. My initial interest was to design magazine, billboard, print ads and television commercials and develop major ad campaigns for businesses of all types; however the Internet soon began to boom, and I found a love I had not known before...Web Site Design and Development.
This new medium gave me the perfect opportunity to apply my knowledge of marketing and design to a whole new industry while continuing to produce quality printed materials for clients. After all, a web site is essentially a compilation of an online magazine/billboard/print ad/television commercial with some added benefits of interactivity and reactivity. In April of the year 2000, I had the opportunity and pleasure of joining a new Internet solutions provider, i360 Tech Labs, as a professional multimedia developer, and I continue to work with them to this day.
My philosophy of quality web design is simple: In order to develop an effective and efficient Internet presence, a web site must maintain a balance between pertinent Content, ease of Functionality and quality Design. Too much of one and not enough of another can create an imbalance in the visitor's experience, which in turn can cause the visitor to lose faith in the company and go elsewhere. A web site can have all the flash and fanfare of a parade, but how efficient is it if the visitor cannot find what they are looking for, or when they do, the information is inadequate or insufficient? The same concept is easily applied to Print media as well.
Over the years I have developed many marketing solutions from concept to design to implementation, and I have chosen a few of my favorites to show you here on my portfolio web site. I hope you will enjoy your visit, and please feel free to contact me with any comments. I always welcome your input.
